We were part of an entire school project: "The writing to share". Here is the concept of this project: each kid needs to create something for someone else and during a specific day the kids expose their production to the others, read or look at all the productions and choose one to bring back home.
Since we were working about face's features, and the story of the little red riding hood (especially the part at the end of the story "grand ma,grandma, what big eyes you have! the better to see you my darling..."we created a funny production. Each child explained to Miss Julia (in English) and me (in French) the function of his/her nose, eyes, ears, mouth and after that we had to guess who it was. We had to open little windows and try to name our friend when we recognized him/her.
For this workshop, we tried to use a specific structure in french ( "Pour+infinitif"), vocabulary (parts of the face, objects...), pronouns ( I, he, she), verbs relating to the 5 senses (smell, see/watch, listen/hear...): " I have nose to smell flowers..."; " She has ears to listen to the music...It's Elizabeth!"
That day we were very happy to choose a production and bring it home...It was a funny project!
