Example: "I won because I have more pieces than my friend or I won because 7 is more than 5"/ " J'ai gagné parce que j'ai plus de parts que mon ami ou j'ai gagné parce que 7 c'est plus que 5". " I lost because I have less pieces than my friend or I lost because 5 is less than 7"/ " J'ai perdu parce que j'ai moins de parts que mon ami ou j'ai perdu parce que 5 c'est moins que 7".

Language and mathematics: the battle of pies in video.
Here is the video of the game we played in class. The one who has the most pieces of pie win. The children had to justify why they won or why they didn't by using french sentences.
Example: "I won because I have more pieces than my friend or I won because 7 is more than 5"/ " J'ai gagné parce que j'ai plus de parts que mon ami ou j'ai gagné parce que 7 c'est plus que 5". Video of physical activities: Les nuits blanches de Pacha
Here is the video of what we did in the auditorium when we studied the story :
Les nuits blanches de Pacha
(go see the previous article for more details)
We had a lot of fun!!!!!
Physical activities: Baby Ball and "les nuits blanches de Pacha"
During this period we played basket ball with our new friend Baby ball using circus as the underlying theme. We discovered how to use a ball, how to dribble, shoot in a basket... We learned how to play together, with a team or against an opponent...We also practiced our mathematics skills to know who won...
The equilibrist game...
The circus director game...
Throwing game:
Juggling :
The clown: Face paint
By 2, you have to make pass with the ball and one has to shoot in the basket. Each time you mark a point, you can take an object to do the face of the clown. We play this game by team. The first team to finish the clown's face won!!!
We studied a new story called " Les nuits blanches de Pacha"...This is a story about mice who play during the night in the kitchen when the cat is not here... They practice acrobatics exercises... We tried to recompose the 3 obstacles courses with objects of the kitchen and then in the auditorium with material for physical activities. We worked a lot the language using action verbs, name of the spatial positions, vocabulary of the kitchen, physical material...to help the kids make complete sentences. They use a playmobil to help them describe the actions and pictures to help them use "he/she " depending of who is on the picture. We created a poster and the kids needed to put the pictures in the right order and then describe the obstacle courses. We also used this poster to install the material in the auditorium...The kids had a lot of fun doing this activity!!!!
At the end, we tried to individually remember the 3 obstacles courses...
